The Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi in collaboration with partners from the University of Bologna (Italy), Cracow University of Economics (Poland), University of Ferrara (Italy), Institute of Agricultural Economics (Bulgaria), Babeş-Bolyai University Cluj-Napoca (Romania), University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Iaşi (Romania) and YXS Romest Ltd. (Romania) is organising in June 15-17, 2017, 1st SCIENVIR International Conference “Scientific Convergence and Interdisciplinarity in EU Environmental Research”. SCIENVIR 2017 seeks to be one of the most visible and relevant international events organized in Iași on the topic of EU Environmental Protection and Policy issues assessed through multidisciplinary approaches.
The aim of the SCIENVIR International Conference is to provide a platform for interaction and development of research on EU Environmental Protection and Policy issues. Participants also have the opportunity to acquire specialized knowledge with respect to innovative and validated research methodologies in the field of EU Environmental Protection and Policy through the METER Seminar.
The conference will bring together some of most relevant scholars, researchers, experts and civil society representatives from the field from across the European Union and its neighbouring countries. Thus, the conference seeks to overcome national borders and contribute to the consolidation of trans-national partnerships in environmental research.
In order to foster the burgeoning of innovative and interdisciplinary research and dialogue in the field of EU Environmental Protection and Policy, a number of grants are available, covering the conference registration fee, travel costs, accommodation and meals (for the three days event).

Notification of accepted submissions: April 20th, 2017 (ongoing process)
Deadline for participant registration (for those who wish to publish their papers): June 1st, 2017
